Switzerland currently has 2,200 centenarians. The exhibition Welcome to your future – Centenarians of Switzerland, on display at the Parc des Bastions until 13 November, is dedicated to them. The result of the SWISS100 scientific study, conducted under the direction of Daniela Jopp, associate professor at the Institute of Psychology at the University of Lausanne, this exhibition provides a better understanding of the realities of this population, identifying its characteristics, challenges and specific needs. The portraits of centenarians highlight lives that are not always easy, with trials and tribulations, but also coping strategies and essential dimensions of well-being: psychological strength, optimism, a sense of purpose and the quality of social relationships.
