STELLAR: A Voyage Across the Universe, 19 July 2025 from 4 pm to midnight at the Science Gateway

STELLAR will bring together world-renowned scientists and Nobel Laureates, including Samuel Ting, Barry Barish, Takaaki Kajita, and Michel Mayor, alongside astronauts such as Chris Cassidy, Meganne Christian, Matthias Maurer, Paolo Nespoli, and Luca Parmitano.

Information and exchange meeting: Publication of the feasibility study of the Future FCC Circular Collider. May 27th, 20.00, Science Gateway.

CERN is organizing an information session, giving the local public the opportunity to stay informed about the latest results presented in the FCC feasibility study report and to exchange with CERN teams on the territorial implications.

Registration is recommended in order to guarantee a seat in the auditorium. Subject to availability, seats not occupied 15 minutes prior to the start of the conference will be allocated to non-registered attendees who wish to attend.

The Staff Association is pleased to invite all members of personnel, their families, and pensioners to join in a grand celebration:

  • Location: Esplanade of Restaurant 1 (Meyrin site)
  • On the program: Concerts, Tombola, Samba Show, Club Fair…

Work Schedule Management: Exceptional flexibility has been granted by the Director-General for the period between 12:00 and 16:00.

Catering Offer

Food and drink stands will be set up outside on the Esplanade of Restaurant 1.

R1 and the Grab & Go will remain open and operate as usual.

A selection of street food favorites will be available for everyone, along with a sweet corner sure to delight both young and old.

Please note that the outdoor stands will only accept cash payments. Make sure to bring cash with you.

Alcohol consumption is strictly permitted only between 12:00 and 14:00, in accordance with the provisions of Operational Circular No. 8.

Please ensure that your family members have a valid and named access card before coming on site.

The City of Geneva recently published its new Long Life Policy, which aims to improve the quality of life of senior citizens. The policy will be presented at two meetings organised on Monday 10 and Thursday 13 February 2025 in the Plainpalais and Pâquis neighbourhoods.

The City is counting on your participation: it wants to hear your concrete ideas to enrich the future action plan. So don’t hesitate: sign up for one of the two proposed meetings before 7 February by following the instructions below.
